ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
I am an avid international traveler who enjoys exploring the far reaches of our world and capturing these memories in photographic images. I particularly enjoy photographing the people, cultures, wildlife, unique architecture and the landscape of these distant lands. As a long-time member of Spectrum Art Gallery, a fine art photographic gallery in Fresno, I have exhibited in numerous regional galleries and my prints can be found in many personal collections.
My images have been captured using several generations of Minolta, Canon and now, Olympus cameras…..initially from slides or film and now, digitally. After processing in Adobe Photoshop, all images are printed in my home studio on an Epson SureColor P800 printer using archival inks and papers and will last for several generations without fading or color shift.
I also enjoy developing and presenting digital slide shows of my numerous journeys for local community groups; these slide shows have been eclectic, ranging from the grandeur of Antarctica to the equally wondrous treasures of Tibet
I am an Emerita Professor of Biochemistry and former administrator at California State University, Fresno. Although photography has always been a part of my life, only after retirement have I been able to devote time and energy to classes, workshops and self-study to refine my craft. How fortunate I am that my two passions, travel and photography are wholly complementary.
